Tennis - Girls

Coach Schwenk grew up near Allentown, PA, and started playing Tennis in high school.  She began her teaching journey at Mifflin County two years ago after graduating from Penn State University and is excited to continue growing with the district.  Schwenk currently teaches 8th grade American History at Mifflin County Junior High School.

Tennis - Boys 

Jeff Mazurek is an experienced coach having served as the assistant coach for Mifflin County tennis from 2017 through 2023.  In 2024, he will begin as the head coach for  the boys tennis program and will continue to develop tennis as a competitive sport at Mifflin County High School.

 

Mazurek played four years of high school tennis at the Norwich Free Academy in Connecticut and played three years at Susquehanna University.  He is skilled in both singles and doubles tactics that can be tailored to developing the beginner as well as the experienced athlete.

 

"I am excited to continue moving our tennis program in a direction that is both competitive and enriching for our athletes."

 

Mazurek has been a Physics teacher in Mifflin County since 2013 and holds a B.S. in Physics from Susquehanna University and a M.A. in Physics Education from the University of Virginia.  He resides in Middleburg with his wife Stephanie and three children.
