Wade has been Mifflin County’s Boys Junior High Varsity Coach for the past two seasons. He is also founder, president and coach of Husky Hoopsters, Mifflin County’s youth basketball program for the past four years. Wade has also coached various AAU level teams over this same period of time. The current AAU teams play under Keystone Hoops.

Coach Curry graduated from Lewistown Area High School in 1996 and from Dickinson College in 2000 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Policy Studies. Wade played his collegiate basketball at Dickinson where he had a successful career and is one of a few area players to still maintain records in the record books. Most notably Wade, Stephen DeArment and Nathan Brought were all inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of the 1997 Men’s Basketball team. Former Lewistown High School graduate and current Mifflin County Girls Junior High Basketball Coach, Aaron Gingrich is also noted in the record books at Dickinson College.

Wade is passionate about the sport and helping the Mifflin County basketball program succeed. Curry believes that sports provide the foundation necessary to understand the value of hard work and leadership, working in collaboration with others, goal setting and many others benefits.  He has spent much of his free time coaching the last seven years working to instill these values at the elementary and junior high levels of the program. His wife, Maxi, also provides the operational management for the Husky Hoops Youth Program, Keystone Hoops, Mifflin County’s Junior High program and will now also support the varsity level.

Wade stated, “This is an exciting time for the program and I look forward to getting started.  I believe we have players, coaches and parents throughout the entire program right now that are committed to doing what it takes to create a winning culture. After working with the current players in our program the past several years, I am confident in the future of basketball for Mifflin County.”

Curry was also quoted, “I hope to inspire our players to push themselves individually in ways they have not yet experienced- creating stronger, faster and more skilled players….then when they begin to inspire and motivate each other, the cultural shift will occur and it will be evident in the scorebook.”

Wade is Senior Vice President, Director of Investment Services at Kish Bank and Financial Advisor. For the last 21 years, Wade has focused his practice on working with individuals and business owners. His investment and planning expertise, along with a “listen first” mentality, have earned him various recognitions, most notably being named one of Investment News magazine’s “40 Under 40” in 2016.

Wade, and his wife, Maxi, have two children, Jack and Lily Curry. They live in Lewistown. Wade is the son of Ed and Lynn Curry also of Lewistown.
