Boys Varsity Head Coach
Keith Yoder

After a number of years as a volunteer coach with MC Boys Soccer, Keith is excited to step into the role of Head Coach in the Fall of 2022. Coach Yoder brings to the program 8 year of coaching experience at the varsity level. He spent 6 years as an assistant and 2 years as head coach at the former Lewistown Area High School. During that time, the program experienced a lot of success, which Keith attributes to the rapport the coaching staff worked to develop with the players, as well as a strong focus on skill development. During his time with Lewistown, the team competed for 4 District titles, walking away twice as District Champs.
It is Keith’s desire to create this same positive atmosphere with the Mifflin County Soccer team. He plans to focus on building strong relationships throughout the program, from the youth level through varsity. He expects all involved, from coaches to players, to set high expectations and push each other to grow in all areas, both on and off the field. Coach Yoder hopes to instill an ‘iron sharpens iron’ mindset amongst the players, where they understand the role and responsibility they each have to not only build their own skills, but also to encourage and push each other to do the same.
Keith is a lifelong resident of Mifflin County. He is a 1996 graduate of Indian Valley High School and a 2000 graduate of Messiah College where he earned a degree in Mathematics. Keith is employed by the Mifflin County School District as a math teacher at Mifflin County Junior High School. He resides in Lewistown with his wife, Beka, and their children Gabe, Max, and Gracie.
